For sale is a 1972 Gibson ES-325 TD with a Walnut finish. This hollow-body Gibson is 100% all original with zero modifications. The mini-humbuckers sound great and the guitar plays very well and was set up by Rauen Guitars a little over a year ago. It weighs just 7.83 pounds. The neck thickness measures 0.786″ at the 1st fret and 1.022″ at the 12th fret.
This 50-year-old vintage guitar is in outstanding condition for its age with little playwear. The Walnut finish shines brightly with minimal checking. There’s some typical handling wear throughout but mostly only visible under intense direct lighting. All hardware looks immaculate with no patina. The black and yellow binding looks great with no issues. There is one tiny hairline on the side next to the rear strap button. There’s only a small amount of worming on the back. The neck joint is solid but some cosmetic wear around the finish seam. The back of the neck is clean and smooth with only a couple marks. The rosewood fingerboard looks great with minimal fingerwear. The original frets a small amount of fretwear showing on the first couple frets. The nut works great but has a small cosmetic fracture that is perfectly stable. The headstock is in very good condition with no noticeable scuffs. The original tuners work perfectly. The truss rod works and the neck is perfectly straight with great string action and no buzzing anywhere. All electronics are original with zero issues. All potentiometers date to 1972 and all solder joints are untouched. The serial number is 101414.
Includes the original Gibson chipboard case in very good condition. All latches work, as does the handle. The exterior of the case has some light scuffs from storage. The interior of the case looks great. Does not include any other accessories.
The ES-325 was a ’70s model in the ES series which featured a single F-hole and two mini-humbuckers.
