1968 Gibson SG Special Electric Guitar

This is a ’68 SG Special in Heritage Cherry. It features a stoptail adjustable bridge, Grover tuners, a bound rosewood fretboard and dual humbuckers (I believe they are newer Gibson pickups but there’s no markings). It is a total survivor with no visible repairs – just considerable wear, tear, dents, dings, some binding shrinkage and some finish marks etc. It has been well loved as you can see, but not abused. Includes a newer unbranded case. I do have a vintage period correct Gibson decal you can add back to the headstock if you’d like as well.

Condition wise, this guitar is in okay shape for its shape. It has some many marks, dents, dings etc as pictured – these have a thin finish. There is considerable wear and shrinkage along the side of the binding – please review and zoom in on all photos if interested. I do not see any evidence of any repairs. You can see the three pieces of the headstock visible as well too and there is some blemishes and finish cracks as pictured along the sides of the headstock as well. There is some residue from what looks like stickers and possibly different bridges installed at some point. Please review all photos, as I can only fit 25 photos. The truss rod turns fine and the neck is straight.
