This is a 1997 Fender Tex-Mex Stratocaster. Made in Mexico. The pickups have been changed from the stock Fender Tex Mex pickups to Fender Custom Shop Fat 50’s in the neck and middle, and an older Seymour Duncan SHR-1 Hot Rails in the bridge. The pickguard has been changed from white to tortoise shell.
The high E tuner is unfortunately bent, but fully functional, and holds tune well. It would be easy to find a replacement for this if desired.
This guitar has been played quite a bit, and therefore has a few scratches and dings which are pictured, but is in overall great shape. It plays really well, and I particularly love the Custom Shop pickups, which make this sound and feel like a much higher end guitar. Please check out the youtube video to hear how it sounds.
The thinner C shaped neck and 9.5″ radius are very comfortable to play, and this one has a really beautiful piece of rosewood on it.
Comes with a 90’s era Fender gig bag which is in great shape. I don’t have the backplate or tremolo bar.
I will ship to the contiguous 48 U.S states. Will be well-packaged.
Thanks for looking.
