This project started with the Fender Player Stratocaster body that has a Fender American Standard bridge plate with Callaham bridge block and vibrato bar coupled with Fender noiseless springs. It’s loaded with Fralin Vintage pickups, from the Fralin website – (Vintage Hots offer the purest vintage Strat tone. Vintage Hots have a warm, balanced midrange with lots of sparkle and clarity on the top, guaranteeing you’ll stand out in the mix. If you’re looking for the purest Stratocaster tone, look no further than these pickups right here! The Bridge pickup also has been installed with a Baseplate that will increase the power and bass of the Strat’s bridge pickup). The wiring was custom made Stratocaster 1/4 Blend Mod with CTS pots. Please watch the YouTube video starting at 5:10 and the presenter explains how the 1/4 Blend Mod works. Basically, the Mod allows you to blend in Neck when you’re in the Bridge position. The neck is a WD Music licensed by Fender Fat D shape Tele neck with 10″ radius and fill your hand nicely. If you look at the pictures with the StewMac neck template you’ll see that neck is very close to Eric Johnson’s neck profile. The pickguard is a custom swirl that is one of a kind and I tried to match the headstock as much as possible. There are a couple “relic” spots on the guitar. The first is on the bottom of the body, see picture, and the second one is near the high e tuner, see picture. Speaking the tuners they are Hipshot Locking tuning machines. Also notice that string tree has 3 slots instead of the usual two and this bring the G string into a better angle. I’m also including color matching strap locks from Fender.
Based on the date on the body I’m saying it’s 2002, but I could be wrong and it’s 2020. It does not come with a case or gig bag.
