Fender JV Modified ’50s Stratocaster HSS 2022 – Present – 2-Tone Sunburst

$ 899.00

Bought on a business trip a few summers ago and recorded a few tracks with it. Killer neck and absolutely stunning fit and finish. the middle pickup is “it” and the bridge is a nice option – especially if gigging out.

The Classic Strat — Refined

Based on the highly sought-after “Japanese Vintage” reissued Fender guitars from the ’80s, the Fender JV Modified ’50s Stratocaster is sure to please. Two single coil pickups plus a humbucker deliver the classic Superstrat formula, combining iconic single-coil Strat tones with epic lead tones from the bridge position. Factor in an easy-playing Thick Soft “V” neck profile, a vintage-style tremolo, and vintage-style locking tuners, and the Fender JV Modified ’50s Stratocaster brings “Japanese Vintage” mojo to a new generation of players.

Going beyond the trademark Stratocaster sound

The Fender JV Modified ’50s Stratocaster comes with two sweet-sounding single-coil pickups selected by a modern, 5-position blade switch, making it easy to nail those glassy Strat sounds with a flick of the switch. And with a Hot Vintage alnico humbucker in the bridge position, the JV Modified ’50s Stratocaster can create tones not possible on vintage-era Strats. You get the higher output and the sonic girth only a humbucker can provide, combined with the unparalleled tonal range of a classic Strat. Best of all, a push-pull tone control allows you to split the humbucker for single-coil-style sounds too.

Vintage-style neck with modern fretboard radius

The Fender JV Modified ’50s Stratocaster’s maple neck is shaped with a Thick Soft “V” profile, with a satin finish that gives it a fast and smooth feel. The Thick Soft “V” profile gives this guitar a stout feel without inhibiting playability, particularly favored by “thumb over the fretboard” players at Sweetwater. And while this thicker profile is a nod to vintage Fender guitars, its more modern 9.5-inch fretboard radius will feel right at home for most players.
