Fender Japan ’62 Stratocaster ST62-US Vintage White 2012

$ 942.05

Fender ’62 Strat, vintage white, made in Japan 2012. A crispy, creamy white Strat always looks good, and this one… looks good. The sixties style appointments are cool: spaghetti logo, rosewood slab fretboard, three ply white guard, stamped saddles; it all looks very cute. The neck is a slightly fat take on the sixties style C: not skinny, but not a baseball bat. It’s comfy and nicely rounded and features some gorgeous dark streaky rosewood on the board. The pickups are bright and lively, delivering that classic glassy sheen on  the top end and a pleasing quacky snap on the middle positions. The previous owner switched the second tone control for a blender, so you’ve now got a master volume, master tone and a blender knob that  mixes the neck pickup back into any other switch position, so you can pull those tasty Tele-style middle tones. This is simple and enjoyable, and that is a very fine way to be.
