Fender HM Strat Ultra Guitar – 24 Fret Ebony Fingerboard – Lace Sensors – Kahler Steeler Bridge – Super Rare Model

$ 1899.99

For sale:

VERY Rare, limited production Fender H.M. “Strat Ultra”

Originally produced from around 1988 – 1991, These were at one point, the most expensive guitar Fender made (outside of the Designer & D’Aquisto models & Custom shop) – Costing almost DOUBLE that of an American Standard at the time, and even more than original Clapton & Yngwie Strats, ’62 reissues.

Regardless, these were Fender’s attempt at making a truly “high-end” Superstrat. An upgraded version of the HM models, made in the USA.

With specs including a basswood body, flamed maple top & back (Veneer, I believe) – Lace Sensor Pickups, Kahler “Steeler” Tremolo, 24-fret EBONY fingerboard with Fender’s split Triangle inlays (Their version of Jackson’s Sharkfins) – as well as features you see more standard nowadays, such as the comfort bevels in the cutaway areas & heel joint.

The guitar plays absolutely fantastic.

These came in an array of finishes. Typically a Metallic Burst, over a flamed veneer.

Standard 5-way toggle select, with a single volume, single tone, and an additional mini-toggle to split the hum bucker in the bridge.

This particular guitar, has seen a fair share of wear.

Cosmetically, it has various dings, scratches, dents, as well as what looks like a thin crack on the top; going from the mini-toggle, thru to the 5-way pickup switch. The top/front of the headstock is showing some clear-coat peel as well (Please see photos in the listing)

The frets are in good shape, actually; for it’s age, though the back of the neck shows some wear (scratches, dings) – as well as areas where it’d played thru the lacquer, to the wood. – The skunk-stripe on the back has expanded a little over the years as well, so you can “feel” it sticking out a little bit as well (Doesn’t affect playability, (to me) – and isn’t falling out or anything, but worth mentioning)

It’s also missing it’s whammy bar.

All the pickups work, as well as the 5-way switch. – The tone pot appears to NOT be working, nor does the mini-toggle.

This guitar does NOT come with a hardshell case, but will be shipped in a padded gig-bag.

Shipping is FREE to the continental USA.
