Jeff Beck’s Fender Esquire: A Rare Gem
In 2006, the Jeff Beck “Fender Esquire” was unveiled at NAMM SHOW, a limited edition of only 150 pieces from the Fender Custom Shop, selling out instantly. This ultra-rare item has just arrived at UNISOUND!
This model was replicated with Jeff Beck’s collaboration. The original guitar is a composite of several mid-1950s models. It features a one-piece maple neck with a thick triangle grip and a button-style string retainer, characteristic of pre-1955 specs.
The body is made of lightweight white ash, finished in a bright off-white. This replica weighs only 2.86kg, showcasing distinct white ash grain. Notably, the contoured body design, which was present when Jeff acquired the guitar, is precisely replicated, including all relic details. The joint plate is numbered “1056,” matching the original.
The pickups feature the random staggered pole piece design from around 1955. The selector layout includes a front pickup simulated position with resistor and capacitor, bridge pickup with tone control, and a pure bridge pickup bypassing tone.
Crafted by Yuriy Shishkov, a “Principal Master Builder,” this exceptional piece recreates the legendary Esquire perfectly.
It comes with the original flight case, certificate of authenticity, and accessories like cables and a bridge cover. (Note: the gig bag, Jeff’s CD box set, and special interview DVD are missing.)
This guitar leans towards being a collector’s item. The original tuners’ 5th string peg was damaged, so all tuners have been replaced, but the originals are included in the case. Collectors seeking full originality should be aware.

No problem with the electric systems. Neck is straight and the truss rod works with no issues. Remaining fret height is over 80 percent.
It shows signs of use like small scratches, tarnished parts, and dings, but these blend seamlessly due to the relic finish.
