1986 Fender Stratocaster AVRI 57 model.
These are identical to Fullerton made Avri, without the price tag. Same tools, same workers. In a sense these were made in the embryonic Fender Custom Shop as well. This guitar has very pronounced Fullerton curves and the neck is thin and fast.
Fantastic instrument that shows a lot of love over the years. Nitro paint has chipped in places after some knocks and/or climate variations but seems to now be stabilised. Either way it looks fantastic: genuine patina. Not much checking on this one though.
It plays beautifully and sounds even better! Very low action, bell like tones in spades.
5 way switch is installed. Tremolo arm. Original pick ups (black bobbin) and electronics.
Copper shielding on the back of the pickguard and inner pickup cavity was installed by a previous owner (can be removed easily but it does its job!).
Frets have plenty of life left (90%), and all electronics are working perfectly.
