Fender American Standard Stratocaster with Maple Fretboard 2008 – 3-Color Sunburst

$ 1199.00

Very nice example of the quintessential American Standard Strat! Often preferred by Strat guys, this was one of the last Fenders to bear the “Made In U.S.A.” logo. Being a 2008 from the tailing end of these guitars, it features a few modern appointments such as staggered tuners and bent “Fender” stamped steel saddles, along with the notched bridge tone control. This one plays phenomenally and would be right at home with professionals and home players alike!

It features typical Fender specs of the era; 9.5” radius maple board, gloss finish, 22 medium jumbo frets, “C” shaped neck, and two point tremolo. The pickups from this era are well regarded for producing typically “Stratty“ tone, with hotter bridge and SRV-ish neck.

Cosmetically it is in nice shape, with a some miscellaneous marks from play. It has never been gigged with per its sole previous owner. There are some small indentations on the bottom of the lower bout, and a very small finish check near the neck pocket in the typical Strat spot (cosmetic only) – however there are no “chips” in the poly or missing finish, and overall looks very nice with an attractive wood grain.

It is setup with nice low string height of around .060, and it is an absolute joy to play! Neck relief is optimal, and although the frets show a bit of wear, it has no undue buzz playability issues. This one has a great neck, and it will only do justice to its new owner!

Includes original ASA flight w/key, trem arm, and original case candy/literature.
