The Fender USA American Professional Series, newly introduced as a 2017 model, is the successor to the American Standard Series, which has been a steadfast long-seller since its introduction in 1986, and has a highly versatile sound that transcends the boundaries of musical genres. The main attractions of this series are its versatile sound that transcends the boundaries of musical genres and its comfortable playability that allows players to play without feeling stress.
The modern deep C-shaped neck is slightly rounder than that of the American Standard Series, and the narrow tall frets improve intonation and tone rise. The newly designed V-MOD pickups retain the warm, crisp tone characteristic of vintage guitars, but have a hotter output for modern sound production.
The 22-fret design has a wider semitone range than traditional Fender guitars (9.5″ R fingerboard for less clogging), and a satin-finish neck back paint for smooth positional movement. A treble bleed circuit is also included to prevent loss of tone when the volume is turned down, making this model worthy of the American Professional name.
There are some scratches and dents, but playability is good.
