Cosmetically it is in excellent shape. Cleaner than you’d expect for its
age. There are no significant dings or dents, nothing anywhere that
goes through the finish. There is a small 1” light black line on the
back which is hard to see and I never even noticed until I was checking
out tonight. When you do see it it looks like nothing more than a small
piece of hair. No neck joint cracks.
Maple fret board is in great shape overall, there are a handful small
areas at the edges where the lacquer has flaked off. Frets are fine with
many years left in them. I can feel one indentation on the back of the
neck behind the 1st fret.
Floyd Rose is a surface mount so dive only. The upside to that is it
supports installation of a D-tuna for easy changes between E and drop D.
If the buyer doesn’t want it I’ll remove before shipping.
Pickups have been changed. I installed a Bare Knuckle Nailbomb in the
bridge and Bare Knuckle Sinners in the middle and neck positions. The
Sinners are their hottest true single coils. All sound really great in
Biggest issue with the guitar is found inside the cavity. A previous
owner has done a good bit of grinding around the pickup cavity,
presumably to facilitate a previous pickup change. Not really sure what
that was all about as these have swimming pool routes which I would
think don’t present a fitment issue. It is what it is and at least it’s
out of sight. I’d certainly be asking more for the guitar if it wasn’t
It plays, sounds, and looks great for a 20 year old guitar. Includes
original case. Please write with any questions, I’ve tried to be very thorough but if you have specific concerns please ask before purchasing. Being sold as-is.
