Made by the Fujigen factory in the late 1980’s. This ST57 model was the base model ’57 reissue from Fender Japan that was modified by a previous owner.
Basswood body (that the previous owner stripped the finish off) with a maple neck shaped with the classic ’57 slim C neck profile (7.25″ radius, 43mm nut, 648mm scale length), it weighs 3.1kg’s. Has a replacement loaded pickguard with what looks to be reasonably high quality alnico single coils and CTS pots. The original tuners and bridge work as they should.
Given a basic setup and service prior to listing including a fret polish and truss adjustment, there’s some light pitting in the frets but they still play smooth and the straight neck plays well with a nice low action.
