Short Description:
An Amazing Dakota Red. early 1970s Fender Musicmaster with a 24″ scale length and original Fender pickup!
What We Think:
Condition: Used, Very Good. This instrument was made in 1972 and has cosmetic features that should be nothing less than expected of an instrument of this age.
SP Luthier Notes: (A) Minor dent(s) present on the guitar required our luthier to fill, color match, and refinish the area massively improving the cosmetics of the guitar. A majority of frets showed evidence of play wear. As such, the frets were leveled, recrowned, and polished back to a near mint state. The guitar required a full adjustment to the truss rod, nut, and bridge to be brought to a perfect level of playability. No further work was required.
A Charming Guitar this certainly is! Vintage “Student” model guitars are a special kind indeed – there are no extra switches or pickups getting on the way, and you only have what you really need: a great guitar, a good pickup, and an otherwise solid feel. It just doesn’t get better! And make no mistake: one pickup is more than enough to play just about anything you could ever think of. Chimey, airy and with just a dash of single coil spank. This is an excellent instrument and you shouldn’t miss this one!
