1958 Fender Telecaster refin with maple neck. A great vintage example of Leo Fender’s solid body electric guitar, made in Fullerton, California. It is iconic in both sound and design.
Body: Blonde refin done years ago has naturally faded to a nice cream patina. Lightweight ash body. Control cavities are painted with black conductive shielding paint. 6-58 is written in bridge pickup cavity.
Neck: Maple neck, with overspray, simple dot markers. New frets allow for easy playability. Heel date is 7-58. Truss rod moves freely. Fender logo with “Telecaster”decal at headstock.
Pickups/Hardware: Original pickups are strong at 6.44K (bridge) and 7.18K (neck). Original Pat Applied Single line Kluson tuners hold strong. Bridge saddles are in great condition and move freely for easy intonation. 250K pot codes are 304748 (48th week 1957). Pickguard and switch tip (original included) are a replacements. One replaced string ferrule. Serial 026442 on neck plate.
Cosmetic Condition: Guitar is clean with player’s wear. No breaks or cracks.
Playability: Frets plenty of life left. This guitar has THE 1950s Telecaster sound that we all look for. It is currently set up and intonated with standard 10-46 strings.
Weight: 7lb 6oz
Case:Original Fender issue tweed hard case in worn condition. One hinge is compromised. Handle is intact.
