ESP wasn’t fooling around when they built this USA M-ll
HT. They started with a body built from open-grain ash.
Ash is prized for its natural musicality, perfect balance of brightness and warmth, and midrange pop, as well as its eye-catching appearance. This guitar’s super-stable maple neck and fingerboard culminate in a fast- and fluid-playing guitar with plenty of snap.
Twin Seymour Duncan humbuckers
Two Seymour Duncan passive humbucking pickups were chosen to deliver this ESP USA M-II HT’s rich, sustaining voice. In neck position is a vintage-output Seymour Duncan Jazz humbucker, which manages to retain its clarity even when submitted to the fiercest distortions. In bridge position, a Duncan ’59/Custom Hybrid, so called because it merges coils from two acclaimed SD pickups, delivers a modernized medium-output onslaught of compressed dynamics, enhanced harmonics, and enhanced low-frequency response. This guitar’s volume/ tone control layout opens up plenty of sound-shaping possibilities, while coil-splitting gives you access to even more sonic textures. Thanks to these two top-shelf humbuckers, this USA M-II HT delivers tones that can be classic and modern at the same time.
