I have a 2019 ESP E-II Eclipse here with its Factory hard shell case. This is a light weight specimen weighing 7lbs 13.5 ounces.
Conditionally it looks very nice.
The body top looks pretty much immaculate. I did not find any marks nor any permanent smudges to the finish or any light play wear. Any superficial swirling is minimal to the extent that I don’t see any patterns or any buildup of any of that.
The body sides/edges similarly look immaculate. I did not find any indents or bumps or any buildup of any play where it looks quite clean throughout.
The body back shows a minimal amount of superficial signs of use. I see one little scuff like scratch that doesn’t penetrate the satin finish more so it looks like just a faint scuff texture and very very subtle signs of rubbing. But not any accumulation or any sort of play where that goes through the satin finish there’s no scratching or anything that stands out as describable. These are the most superficial signs only on of use on that fine matte finish. There is no buckle rash or worming. The original film sleeve protectors are still on the backplates.
The neck shaft contour looks nice and feels perfect. The frets have no fret wear. The headstock looks nice and clean I did not find bumps and dings on it. I found two small marks that I will describe. Just below the nut at the end of the binding. I see a little hairline mark on each side of the binding. The nut itself is structurally sound there’s no cracks or anything affecting the nut or the glue around the nut. It appears that the silver color paint has a little hairline split where the finish was unstable right where the binding ends sort of a seaming effect.
I do not see a crack that goes all the way through the plastic binding or touches the wood in any way. It’s more just so at the very end top surface of it. I see this fairly common in this area of guitars, oftentimes on Gibson guitars. It usually comes as a factory anomaly within the realm of their quality control in the way the binding was installed near the nut. I do not believe there was any trauma that caused it.
The setup plays perfectly. It has a typical factory action string height which has a nice easy to play feel. The electronics are stock and working perfectly. The case is in excellent condition as well.
So I’m going to rate this one a 9.1/10 and grade it as excellent. The bulk surface of the guitar looks to be on the higher side of excellent. I did not find any buckle rash or a single nark of note. On the upper sides of the neck as noted I found a tiny finish anomaly. But no notable marks or things or bumps or any issues with the finish. It plays exceptionally well and the pictures do it justice it’s a gorgeous guitar.
It has a nice balance and certainly sounds articulate as ESP guitars are known for. But lacks nothing in the lower frequency spectrum. EMG active pickups also have that quality as well. So this guitar really articulates well with high gain.
Note that this listing may come down at any time as I am a multi-platform seller and do sell locally and on my own Site as well in an effort to keep sales fluid. State sales tax will be charged on Reverb sales when applicable, so factor that into your purchase.
I will immaculately pack it as well. I use quality shipping boxes, ample tape on all sides. And sufficient bubble wrap filler and bracing inside the box. And always Marked/denoted as fragile. I generally detune guitars 1/2 half step prior to shipment as well if needed.
Thank you for reading and considering!
