Rare 1989 (I think) Charvel 750XL with a tuneomatic bridge in the Shawn Lawn trans-yellow finish. These are pretty hard to find especially in this configuration. This one is in good condition, especially considering the age. One major flaw, which I attempted to document in these photos, is a chip on the back tip of headstock. This is not visible from the front of the guitar and I had a luthier attempt to smooth this out as best he could and ensure it was sealed from any moisture exposure. He also attempted to color match this area as best he could without impacting the rest of the paint around it. I am sure if you were handy, you could create a small new piece of wood to glue into this section and paint it, but I never bothered given it did not bother me.
Overall the guitar has some bumps, dings, and scratches in it, but aside from the headstock tip it is pretty clean. I have removed the tone knob and moved the volume down to the tone position. The hole is currently plugged with a black plastic hardware store plug that is easily removable from the control cavity. No drilling was done. I will include the original pots and knob should you want to rewire it back to its original configuration. The case is in pretty rough shape but is original. Two of the feet are caved in and a latch is missing (all pictured in the listing), but it is original and protects the guitar just fine.
Playability wise, I have this guitar set for super low action and as a result there will be some slight buzzing if played hard, but this can obviously be adjusted. Frets have good life on them still and this was setup professionally, but setups are personal preference and the buyer should plan on this accordingly when purchasing.
I am including shipping to the lower 48, but will also ship to HI and AK for additional charges. I tried my best to document this guitar in the photos but I am always happy to answer questions or provide additional photos upon request.
The ONLY trade consideration would be given to a Diezel Herbert Mk2 or Mk3. Any other trade offer will be ignored. Also, goes without saying, but no lowball offers. I am not a store and the selling fees are not cheap so please be mindful of this if submitting an offer.
Thank you in advance!
