1996 was a Banner Year at Carvin. This was the 50th Anniversary of the Company and Carvin Introduced the Allan Holdsworth Model Guitar. Allan Holdsworth was a British Jazz Fusion and Progressive Rock Guitarist and Composer. He embodied the Highest Ideals of Jazz at its Best. Pioneering, Fearless and Fiercely Original. He was a remarkably Formidable Rock Musician. Holdsworth was known for his Esoteric and Idiosyncratic usage of Advanced Music Theory Concepts, especially regarding Melody and Harmony. His Signature Guitar had to be Very Special to Bear his Name. Totally Unique in Design and Construction is the Holdsworth H2. It was designed by Mark Kiesel in conjunction with legendary guitarist Allan Holdsworth. Everything about this Guitar is Unique – the most obvious being the Radical Body. It is made of Alder, but is chambered similar to a Semi-Hollow acoustic/electric. The Neck is also Alder and is a set neck. This Design allows the Chambering of the Body. This Particular Guitar is Further Customized. The Face of the Guitar is Premium Quilted Maple, finished with a Gloss Coated Deep Honey Color. It also has a Tune-O-Matic Bridge with a Stop Tail Bar and Two Holdsworth Design H22 Humbucker PickUps. Master Volume and Tone Knobs, Three Way Switch and Two Coil Splitter Switches. The Design and Electronics make the Highly Resonant Tone of this Instrument Incredible. It has Satin Chrome Sprezel Locking Tuners. Perhaps Most Unique and Rare of all is the Fret Board and Matching Headstock on this Custom Instrument. The Fret Board is made from Premium and Very Rare Birdseye Maple with Black Dot Position Markers. This Instrument is arguably One of The VERY FIRST Built for Sale!! You won’t ever see another like this One. A Collectors DREAM Guitar..
