Vintage 1930s/1940s Collegiate Parlor Guitar by P’Mico, New York, USA, probably made by Regal. Guitar has been restored and plays incredibly well and sounds fantastic. Features all solid wood construction with mahogany grained sunburst finish on birch body, nice straight chunky neck with soft V profile and beautiful diamond/pyramid abalone tinted position markers on nice faux grained fretboard with slotted headstock. Neck was reset nearly 10 years ago and is still spot-on, frets were recently dressed and polished for smooth playability up and down the fretboard with low action set at about 4-64″-5/64″ at 12th fret. Ladder braced body has middle slant brace on top, suggesting Regal manufacture. Original metal button tuners work well and look awesome. This little parlor packs a punch and is surprisingly loud with great note definition and attack. Absolute joy to play, no wonder I’ve kept it around for so long. Original bone nut has rich patina and the fretwire bridge, tailpiece and endpin appear original, as well. Probably about 90 years old and it sounds and plays better than ever.
Plenty of finish imperfections and discoloration, nicks, dings and scratches. Headstock logo and label intact, very clean on inside of guitar with bracing in great shape. Slight dip in top at bridge from decades of pressure, no major warping or bulging. Lots of patina on hardware, overall splendid condition for being nearly a century young. 13-1/4″ wide body, 24-3/4″ scale length and 1-3/4″ nut width. Time to let a new owner enjoy this wonderful guitar. Packed well and shipped quickly with experience you can trust, thanks for looking!
