Here we have a one-of-a-kind Baritone GT8 acquired from a Taylor Road Show, decked out in the custom Charcoal finish, giving way to a beautifully flamed maple back and sides, rounded out with a classic Sitka Spruce top. The 27” scale length makes this guitar a cannon, with shocking low end extension, while still maintaining all that Taylor clarity that we know and love. This guitar is setup in B standard, so it’s really in a league of its own, able to create one of the fullest solo-acoustic performances you’ll ever experience, or slot it alongside an E-Standard acoustic for a beautiful duo of harmonic tone. It’s very comfortable to play and projects exceptionally well. The “Century” headstock inlay coupled with the subtle “Diamond Heritage” fretboard inlays gives the guitar a very classy aesthetic, all wrapped up in a double bound body, fretboard and headstock. The 3-piece maple back is stunning in person with lots of depth to the flame and the whole body is arguably the most resonant acoustic you’ll ever play. If you set this guitar in its case and simply strum the open strings, you can feel the entire case vibrate from the body resonance…it’s really something else. This one is also equipped with Taylor’s ES2 electronics and it sounds just as good plugged in as unplugged.
This one is in near-mint condition with no signs of wear to note. The temporary clear pickguard is lifting a bit, but is easily removable if you’d prefer a cleaner look. Original Taylor hard case and build sheet is included as well.
