Martin D-18 [SN 749233] [05/24]

$ 2023.02

A 2000 Martin D-18 is in stock!
This popular model was first produced in 1934 at the same time as the D-28, and has continued to be produced and sold to this day.
The dreadnought body is made of citrus spruce top, mahogany sides and back, mahogany neck, and rosewood fingerboard and bridge.
The nut width is 42.9mm, the scale is 645mm, and the pegs are made by Gotoh with the Martin logo.
This guitar has a bright mahogany sound, but it seems to have a thicker sound than the D-18s that are often seen. Especially when fingerpicking, the slightly heavy sound is similar to that of a guitar with a rose side back like the D-28. This guitar has a bright sound with a heavy tone mixed in.

There are scratches and dings commensurate with the age of the guitar in various parts of the body, but there are no fatal cracks in the wood.
The binding on the left side of the top and the back of the guitar has been repaired, but they are still firmly attached.
The neck is in good condition, and the truss rod is at 90 degrees with a little left in the tightening direction. The truss rod is 90 degrees with a little left in the tightening direction.
The string height is about 2.5mm-2.6mm on the 6th string side and about 2.0mm-2.1mm on the 1st string side at 12F.
There are no noticeable dents on the frets, and there is plenty of height remaining.
The pegs, which are the hardware, have minor scratches and some slight smudging, but they are still shiny and in good condition.
There are some scratches and other signs of use, but it is in good playing condition, and considering the year of manufacture, it is considered to be in good condition.
The burnt finish on the body top matches the color of the fingerboard and bridge, and the guitar as a whole is beautifully aged.
We recommend this guitar to those who are looking for a slightly different tone that is not the standard among D-18s.

Neck condition no problem.
Truss rod has about 90 degrees of tightening left.
About 70 to 80% frets left.
