Limited edition of 461! 000-42 Eric Clapton Model!
The first Eric Clapton signature model for Martin, released in 1995. It was produced in a limited edition of 461 pieces, named after the famous album “461 Ocean Boulvard”. This is the 246th one. This is a precious one.
The back binding has been re-covered and 3mm of plastic has been added to the heel of the neck. There is a mark on the edge of the sound hole where a magnetic pickup was installed (dented). There are also some scratches on the sides and back of the case, which are probably caused by the adhesion of the case interior, but they are only visible when you hold it in your hand and stare at it under a light. There are some light scratches, some scuffs on the back of the neck (capo marks?), and some fine dents and dings on the pegs. There are some light scratches, some scuffs on the back of the neck (capo marks?), some minor dents, and some partial tarnishing on the plating of the pegs, but overall there is no noticeable damage or signs of use. Considering the age of the instrument, it can be said that the appearance is well maintained. The strap pin is not installed, but is included.
The neck is in fair condition, and the frets have been rubbed and are still around 90% high. Both playability and sound are perfect, and even though it is a triple O size, it has solid volume and sustain, and you can enjoy the overtones characteristic of the 40s. It is a gem that makes you want to keep playing it forever, and also makes you feel the joy of owning it. This is a guitar that will move the hands of Eric Clapton fans and others alike.
