I have a VERY RARE Harmony Monterey that is in very good condition to be a 1945 and 1 of 1. The binding is all intact, no problems with the inside bracing, no cracks or repairs, the neck is good and straight with low action, the brass frets have some wear but still have plenty of life left. This guitar spent its last 35 years in a hardshell case in a closet. The wooden trapeze bar and wooden strap button is still in great shape, the only non original parts are the tuning keys. The best part of this guitar is that I contacted Harmony for more information about this H996 model and they don’t even know they made this model. They have no records of it, Gruhn Guitar in Nashville,Tn couldnt verify they ever made a H996 model either. I’ve only hear of 1 other person say they had heard of the H996 model but had no way of proving it. So as far as I know, it’s a 1 of a kind. It plays and sounds as good as any Gibson,Martin or any other high end guitar I’ve ever played. I can provide proof from Harmony saying they have no records of making this model for serious buyers only ! It has normal play wear from being a guitar from 1945 WWII era but nothing major. It plays like it should and sounds even better. I’m open to offers but rediculous offers will be ignored. It’s a one of a kind as far as I can tell or Harmony themselves. I only ship to lower 48 inside the U.S. and buyer responsible for actual shipping
