Great playing and sounding Mid 90s Alvarez Yairi WY-1BK. A lot of famous players use these for good reason. I bought this years ago from a GC online and had it shipped to me. It wasn’t packed well and you can see the cracks I saw when I opened the case. Long story short the guitar played and sounded fantastic but I paid for an undamaged guitar so I returned it to the local GC. I spoke with the manager when I returned it and told him I’d be interested to buy it again at a reasonable price considering the cracks. He called me a week later and offered it to me at a much lower price so I bought it again and had my friend Bob at Guitar Repair Services in Scotch plains look at it. Bob looked at it and glued the cracks to stabilize them and it’s been solid since. If the top wasn’t cracked this could easily be a 2k guitar, even as it is it’s still a great playing vintage 90’s Yairi that will provide many years musical joy if cared for. It is a Yairi and it plays and sounds like one. The guitar is all original with the original working preamp, fine tuning gold Alvarez tuners (18:1?), a fantastic neck with dark ebony fret board, classic Yairi inlay at the 12th fret and that magical Yairi bridge with individual saddles under every string. A great guitar even with the stabilized top cracks. No other known breaks, cracks or repairs. Please see pics.
Guitar will be packed snug with strings loosened in Alvarez Hard Case pictured.

I loathe selling guitars online, the guitars I sell are guitars I bought over the years. Some are all stock, some were modified before I got them and some were modified by me after I bought them. I describe what I know and generally underrate condition. No matter what you say there are people that expect mint when you say good and more and more I find people that complain about something clearly pictured and disclosed in the listing after receiving the guitar and then expect additional discounts as if that’s normal.. I will right any true wrong but I don’t like games or bad experiences which is why I’m parting out several very nice guitars. This one is too nice to part out. Sold as-is, as-described and as pictured with no returns.
