C.F.Martin HD-28KM made in 2001 [SN 58809416] [01/02]

This is a rare model that is rarely seen on the market. The top is made of Ingleman spruce, which is very dense and changes its expression when the angle is changed. The sides and back are made of koa, which is characterized by its beautiful graininess. The wood selected is of very high quality, and you can tell it is a good guitar by the way it feels in your hand. The body is HD-28 style, and the soundhole is decorated with shining Avalon. In addition, jumbo frets are used, and the playing comfort is not Martin-like in a good sense, making it surprisingly easy to play. The sound is hard and clear, with a thick core, which is characteristic of koa wood. The fatness of the sound is probably due to the aforementioned fret specification. It is also a guitar of fine perfection with a good balance in the treble range and a smooth and extended sound.

As for the condition, there are scratches on the head veneer, paint reaction on the low frets at the back of the neck, and dents and other signs of use. In addition, the body top is dotted with dings and weather checks are visible in places. There is also a crack repair mark under the bridge. The back of the instrument shows signs of use, such as buckle scratches and dents. Fishman pickups have been retrofitted. We can remove the pickups upon request. Overall, there are some signs of use commensurate with its age, but the top has a nice candy-colored burn, and the guitar has a sturdy appearance.
