Up for sale, a 1998 Rickenbacker 370/12 VP in excellent, 100% original condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original molded hardshell case. This rare, discontinued Rickenbacker 12-string model is the “VP” (Vintage Pickups) variant, outfitted with a trio of vintage-spec Toaster Top single coils.
Strongly evoking Rickenbacker’s Roger McGuinn model, this Rickenbacker’s semi-hollow maple construction ensures both breadth and detail, with plenty of natural chime and jangle. The trio of Toaster Top pickups are among the last of the “hot” Toasters offered in the ’90s, offering strong output while retaining detail and sparkle. Equipped with stereo “Rick-o-Sound” functionality, and a middle pickup exclusive to the 370 model (coupled to the neck pickup when using the three-way pickup selector), the 370/12 has more fullness and midrange heft than its brother the 360, and the smaller fifth knob on the Rickenbacker control plate is very useful on this model for blending in the right amount of low end.

The Mapleglo finish highlights subtle figuring, particularly on the back, and the body finish presents as a semi-gloss. There is light buckle wear on the bass-side of the back and just a few additional minor marks on the body as a whole. The neck profile retains its smooth gloss.
