Ibanez RG570-SS Standard 2000 – Sour Apple Sparkle

$ 645.00

This is a fantastic all original Ibanez RG570 that’s just been given a full run through and has a clean bill of health.

The neck is straight as an arrow, truss rod moves comfortably and has plenty of movement left, the action is insanely low and fast, currently set up in E standard with Extra Slinky’s for those who like a lot of bends with their shred, fret board has been oiled and cleaned. The electronics all work as expected and the pots and barrel jack have been cleaned out with de-oxit. The bridge is in very nice shape and does include the original trem arm.

The RG570 is pretty much where the Ibanez design quality topped out in this era, there’s technically models with higher specs but beyond the 570 the differences become harder to notice because they just took everything great about the 470 and make it better, it’s a factory hot rodded 470 with a nicer neck with a bubinga wood skunk stripe, a much higher quality Floyd style bridge, nicer electronics, and more comfortable body carves that lend to more nimble playing. The 570 for reference was made into a Prestige line model with the RG1570. Really can’t beat the cost to quality on these.

Cosmetically this guitar has been around the block though on the face of the guitar it’s still mostly blemish free, most of the cosmetic problems are on the back and sides of the instrument with little checks and dings and your typical buckle rash. For this era of Ibanez these are incredibly common imperfections, most notably the edges of this guitar are where most of the more obvious paint flaws and checks are. This guitar is also missing the truss rod cover. I’ve done my best to capture most if not all of these issues in the attached pictures on this listing. All of that being said this guitar is in the Sour Apple Sparkle finish which was only available in 2000 making it a fairly rare bird, and a dang good looking one at that.
