“Black Cloud” has a workshop in Hotaka, Azumino City, Nagano Prefecture. Currently, it is produced under the Black Smoker label, but this model is a Black Cloud model before it became a Black Smoker label.
Builder Shinichi Kuroiwa has worked for a major domestic guitar manufacturer since 1989, producing OEM products for major kiter brands as a technician and providing technical guidance to overseas. As a master builder, he has produced many guitars, including models for professional musicians and show models both in Japan and overseas. Since launching Black Cloud in 2015, he has been creating many models with even higher quality and better sound.
Sigma, a representative model of the Stratocaster shape, with an alder body, maple neck, and maple fingerboard. The SSH pickup arrangement can be used in a wide range of genres.
All lacquer, with Jescar frets #47104. It is slightly wider and lower than the narrow tall type. The neck is made of wood grain, and the neck shape is asymmetrical, with an asymmetrical grip that fits comfortably in your hand. The pegs and bridge are made by Gotoh.
The pickups are original and are based on a mature vintage sound, but they have a wide range and a strong midrange, so you can experience the good sound quality. It sounds good even with a slightly more modern amp setting, as well as clean and crunch.
It is a beautiful item with no noticeable signs of use.
Neck: There are no problems with warping or twisting.
String height: Standard adjustment of about 2 mm on the 6th string side and about 1.5 mm on the 1st string side.
Frets: Almost no wear.
Truss rod: There is plenty of room.
Original gig bag and arm included, back panel missing.
Weight: Approximately 3.43 kg.
