Ibanez RG1XXV-FYE 25th Anniversary 2012 – Fluorescent Yellow

$ 854.27

I am selling my beloved Ibanez RG 1 XXV 25th anniversary guitar! Due to no longer having the time to play it anymore and mainly playing acoustic nowadays.

It’s in brilliant condition and I have had some nice new strings put on and the tremolo system reset by the guitar shop.

There is just a couple of small unnoticeable chips on the head as can be seen in the photos. I also asked for a price estimate from the guitar shop and he said he would sell it for £750 but offered me a stupidly low price so I thought I would sell it myself.

The guitar sound is great and I’ve found a YouTube video with a demonstration:

Info I found online:

“The Ibanez RG1XXV is a limited edition electric guitar released in 2012 to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the RG series. Known for its vibrant finishes, it was available in iridescent yellow and pink, reflecting the bold aesthetics of the 1980s.

This model features a lightweight American basswood body, a 5-piece maple and walnut neck with a Wizard Premium profile, and a rosewood fretboard adorned with matching binding and banana-yellow shark-tooth inlays. The guitar is equipped with DiMarzio IBZ pickups in an HSH configuration, providing versatility across various musical styles. The Edge-Zero II tremolo system, complemented by the ZPS3Fe (Zero Point System), offers enhanced tuning stability and adjustable tension for dynamic playing.

It has been praised for its build quality and playability. The fast neck and responsive tremolo system make it suitable for both rhythm and lead performances, particularly appealing to rock and metal guitarists. However, some players have noted that the tone can be somewhat “quacky,” a characteristic common in basswood-bodied guitars.

Overall, the Ibanez RG1XXV stands as a testament to the enduring legacy of the RG series, offering a blend of classic design and modern features that cater to a wide range of playing styles.”

Comes with the original case and a strap.
