Thanks for checking out my Gibson Memphis ES-335 Dot 2018 with OHSC! It looks, feels, and sounds great. (The Burstbucker pups really do sound awesome.) I’ve started playing more jazz and I’m reluctantly selling it to partially fund the purchase of a bucket-list jazz guitar (an ES-175). I’ve rated this ES-335 as “excellent” and it really is. The color isn’t everyone’s cup of tea, but I love it. Depending on the lighting, the angle, etc, it can range from a quasi-brighter blue to a moodier aqua marine. I’ve tried to capture this included video.
There are three things keeping this guitar from being rated “mint.”
- Light swirl on the pick guard and here and there. (This is in line with what you would expect for almost any 6-7 year old guitar. Impossible to photograph and really only visible if you’re looking for it in the right kind of lighting. Less than what you see on a lot of new guitars hanging on the wall at GC!)
- The tiniest of “dings” in a pickup cover. (See next-to-last photo. I noticed it for the first time while taking pics for this listing. Easily replaced.)
- The tiniest of finish imperfections next to the input jack. (See last photo. I can’t feel anything or see any depression when I hold it up in reflective light, so I do not believe this is a chip or ding. It is tiny and subtle, almost like a spec of dust.)
Note: I put Gibson silver top hat knobs on this guitar because I think they look better than the original black top hats (which are included).
Reach out with any questions!!
