Gibson Les Paul Signature 1974 Sunburst

$ 5659.27

The Les Paul Signature is a semi-hollowbody guitar produced in the ’70s. This guitar used low-impedance plastic covered pickups. The Sunburst finish is significantly more rare than the Goldtop version of this guitar which does increase the value. Of a total of 1500 or so Les Paul Signatures manufactured, only 84 were finished in Tobacco Sunburst, making this one quite a rarity.

3-piece maple neck with black side dots and pearl trapezoide inlays. Bound rosewood fingerboard. Frets with a ton of life in them. Gibson headstock logo with silkscreened Model name. The most rare Les Paul Model.

The electronics are what really makes this an special instrument today, the twin low impedance pickups are controlled by volume and tone controls with a regular 3-way switch with additional phase switch and 3-way resistance control for added tone sculpting versatility. Has an original dual low and regular impedance input jacks (mounted to the side and to the top of the guitar (allow for simultaneous use routing one input to the amplifier and one direct to the console).

This guitars are the Kings and Queens of clean sound!

Resistance control (3 options): Options between 50, 200, 500 ohms of resistance (50 brighter, 200 standard sound and 500 woody Les Paul tone).

In and out of phase control (2 options switch, it works only if your tooggle switch is on the middle postition).

The guitar is in a collector grade condition, with a very light rash and light signs of checking. the overall condition rates a solid 9 out of 10, taking into consideration that this is a 50 year-old guitar. All the parts are originals except the hardshell case (Black Epiphone TKL Made in Canada).

The bridge was replaced many years ago with a Gibson armonica bridge Made in Germany (we include the same original in the case). This guitar is free from cracks, repairs or any significant issues . Al the plastics are originals (see the black light test photos).
