Dean Avalanche 2003 | Made in Korea | Hot Bridge Humbucker 2 Single-Coils | 2-Point Tremolo with Hi-Mass Steel Block & 3×3 Grover Tuners

Very high performance-to-price ratio here!

Excellent Strat style guitar with its own personality! Plays well, neck feels great. Sounds excellent and is versatile due to the surprisingly screamin’ hot bridge humbucker! These with the duck-bill headstock & 3×3 Grover tuners were only made for a year or two. Not to be confused with the later lower quality Avalanche Playmate entry-level student guitars, these were made in Korea and are high- quality.

The bridge humbucker pickup is one unexpectedly mean mofo!! It’s a pure shredder measuring ~13k Ohms. The 3×3 Grover tuners and high-mass floating 2-point trem work well together to keep the strings in tune. Basically this is a super-beefy, more-robust strat-type guitar. A very surprising sleeper model indeed!

Includes high-quality padded gig-bag with lots of pockets, shoulder straps & reinforced handle

Regarding Shipping: This guitar will be shipped in its gig-bag. It will be well-packed and covered by Reverb Safe-Shipping.

Applicable to Instruments: The action on my instruments is setup medium-low & adjusted to my own preferences but generally meets or exceeds factory specs. It should be acceptable to most players, but your mileage may vary.

As a result of many potential factors including the handling involved in transport, the speed and degree of changes in humidity & temperature, etc. it is possible that once your instrument is unpacked, it may need some minor adjustment to play its best, despite the attention paid to setup prior to it being packed up for shipment.

If your instrument does end up needing adjustment, I recommend supporting your local guitar shop. Get acquainted with the guitar tech/luthier/wizard, buy a set of strings & have them installed or even consider getting a complete setup. Alternatively, it’s well worth investing a little time, acquiring a few tools and learning to do pro-level setups yourself. There are lots of instructional videos from reputable sources on YouTube.
