Fender Japan ST57 w/ Eric Daw Stratocaster Pickups Upgrade

Available now, the popular Fender Japan ST57 in sunburst!

Manufactured at the Dyna Gakki facility between 2004 – 2006 as indicated by the R serial number prefix, these later Fender Japan guitars offer great bang for the buck and lend themselves to virtually any style of guitar music.

In keeping with ST57 specs, this instrument has a 21 fret maple neck in the comfortable Fender Japan oval profile leading to a basswood body. The controls are simple with 1 vol / 2 tone and a 5-way selector switch, all of which are high quality new replacements as are the capacitors and wiring. Another significant upgrade are the pickups, the originals having been replaced with a superb set of handwound and expertly aged Eric Daw Stratocaster pickups. Daw is a well regarded guitar builder and repairman based in Idaho who specializes in F style guitar builds and pickups hand wound on a machine of his own design. To our ears, these pickups sound very much like 50s originals and are amongst the best vintage voiced replacements available. Please note that the original pickups are not included.

The guitar is functioning as it should with a straight neck, an adjustable truss rod and frets that have plenty of life left. Cosmetically it presents as a used but not abused instrument with minor scratches and dings throughout, some discoloration to the plastics and dulling to the metallics here and there.

Comes with a Lenn hard case.

Additional specifications:

We always try to accurately convey the condition of our products, however please bear in mind that feel, performance and even condition are subjective. In light of this, please examine the photos carefully!

When examining a truss rod on a straight neck, we check that it can turn up to about 45 degrees in both directions. When we say the truss rod can be adjusted, we mean it can be adjusted up to 45 degrees. Anything beyond that risks damaging the instrument.
