Tonewoods include a select alder body and a maple neck capped by a thick slab 22-fret rosewood fretboard. The Samarium Cobalt Noiseless single coil pickups are bright and snappy, with a smooth midrange character and more overall sonic heft than many Teles. The S-1 Switch offers even more tonal flexibility; when engaged while the pickup selector is in position 2 (tandem bridge and neck configuration), it engages both pickups in Series. Series wiring offers a fuller, punchier sound with a more robust midrange and low end, while traditional Parallel operation has a pleasant treble-forward shimmer.
