1999 Fender Stratocaster ‘72 Vintage Reissue ST72-58US Yellow White w/ USA Pickups, Japan CIJ

$ 1199.99

Up for sale, a 1999 Fender Stratocaster ‘72 vintage reissue model ST72-58US in excellent, 100% original condition and in perfect working order. This “Crafted in Japan” Strat was produced exclusively for the Japanese domestic market and is uncommon outside of its country of origin, featuring a set of Fender’s American Vintage 57/62 single coil pickups and ‘70s-spec appointments including a large headstock with block logo, three-bolt neck plate, and block saddles.

This Strat has a basswood body and one-piece maple neck, tonewoods in-line with Fender’s similar Yngwie Malmsteen models, weighing 7lbs 10oz. The USA-made American Vintage 57/62 single coil pickups feature black fiber bobbins, staggered Alnico magnets, and cloth-covered leads, and these pickups deliver a bevy of traditional Strat tonalities. The neck pickup is full and girthy, with a throaty zing, the bridge has great sparkle and nap, and the “in-between” positions on the five-way pickup selector switch yield hollow quack. This Strat has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.

The gloss finish is categorized as Yellow White by Fender Japan, approximating the yellowing that occurs on an Olympic White finish over time. The instrument exhibits only signs of light, careful use, with a bit of light buckle wear central to the back, some scuffing from a rotating vibrato arm on the lower bout on top, and a few minor dings on the body as a whole, largely concentrated along the lower bout perimeter. The neck profile retains its smooth gloss.

The original gigbag is included.
