Up for sale is my 2017 Fender American Special Telecaster in Sherwood Green. It plays well with a straight neck and no issues. Equipped with jumbo frets and 9.5″ radius, this a comfortable guitar.
Cosmetically, the guitar is in nice condition. There is a small ding in the finish on the front waist area as seen in the pictures, but otherwise has very minor finish wear. Frets are in great shape with minimal wear. Comes with original case candy and certificate of authenticity from Fender. Ships in a generic tweed hard case.
Modifications from stock:
- I hand-built these pickups (I used to own a small guitar electronics company) and are Alnico V with a compensated D polepiece and a vintage output. Hum canceling in middle position. Had a friend 3D print a Strat style pickup cover for the neck. I do not have the original pickups.
- Saddles are Gotoh “In-tune” compensated brass. Original saddles will be included.
- Original Fender PCB treble bleed failed, so I installed a regular resistor/capacitor treble bleed.
- Original black barrel switch tip broke, so I put on a white Stratocaster tip I had laying around.
Measurements (measured myself for accuracy):
- Weight: 7.6 lb
- Nut width: 1 11/16″
- Thickness at 1st fret: 0.85″
- Thickness at 12th fret: 0.9″
- Action at 12th fret: 0.07″ low E, 0.06″ high E
- Relief: 0.005″
- Neck pickup: 7.2 kOhm
- Bridge pickup: 6.7 kOhm
