Gorgeous 2012 Fender American Select Strat in excellent shape! Cherry burst with flamey goodness on the top and neck. Fender Select single-coils, no-load tone control, locking tuners, 9.5-14 compound radius modern C-shaped neck, heel carve, arriving in a really nice Custom ’54 Fender Case for good measure. An amazing guitar I bought to celebrate a new job that didn’t materialize as hoped, so there’s some less-than ideal mojo on it from that incident that keeps it in the case – let’s find a good home for this looker, shall we?
This thing has been babied and is in excellent condition – it hasn’t come out of the case much in the time I’ve had it, and the previous owner must have treated it with care. No real wear or tear, the last four photos show some small imperfections (some finish roughness that goes with the territory for lacquer, and a small ding on the back side of the body). Very minor, you’ll feel them more than see them, nothing that diminishes the beauty or playability of this fine instrument.
From the 2012 Fender Catalog:
The Fender Select Stratocaster is the sonic embodiment of tone-machine elegance, featuring a stunning Dark Cherry Burst gloss-lacquer finish and natural binding on a sleek flame maple-top body. Its modern “C” shaped flame maple neck has a comfortable contoured heel, Bi-FlexTM truss rod system for rock-solid stability, a satin lacquer back finish and rear-headstock “Fender Select” medallion. The smooth-playing compound radius flame maple fretboard (9.5”-14”) has 22 medium jumbo frets, stylish black pearloid position inlays and a gloss lacquer finish. Pure and singing signature sound comes from new Fender Select Stratocaster single-coil neck, middle and bridge pickups with five-way switching and a no-load tone control that delivers the natural uncolored sound of the bridge pickup when dimed.
