Washburn A-15V – MIJ – 1981 – Yellow
This all-original Washburn collector’s item looks as though it’s never been played.
Comes in a hard case which was standard for these early 80s models.
It’s as-new and has been professionally set up with a smooth, easy action giving it great playability.
The A-15V was super popular in the 80s and then reissued in 1996. It’s has been sitting in its case for years waiting for an excuse to jump out. Cool little piece.
Weight: 3.5 kgs. Great weight.
Body shape is a cross between an Explorer and a Firebird. Looks killer in Yellow with a gloss finish. Black scratchplate. Quite sure the body is ash. V-shaped mahogany neck and rosewood fretboard. Zero fretware. George Washburn machine heads. Chrome bridge. Differing to the A-15, this A-15V includes a tremolo system.
3 original single coil pickups, 1 volume and two tone dials with a 5 way pickup selector make it tonally similar to a Strat. Sounds killer. All electrics working perfectly.
Condition wise, its as-new. Been sitting in its case all these years waiting for a chance to show off.
Such a great piece and a bit of a rare find for its mint condition.
Comes in original Washburn hard case.
