Ronin Guitars Foilbucker Type-S Goldburst

$ 2500.00

This is the beautiful Ronin Foilbucker Type-S guitar. Ronin Guitars have, until recently, been available in a variety of original body designs, with tonewoods of redwood and tempered maple necks. With their proprietary Foilbucker pickups, they are some of the most dynamic and sonically stunning guitars ever made. However, they are expensive! At a more reasonable price range, Ronin released this new Foilbucker Type-S.
The guitar is fantastic-sounding. The Foilbuckers really do bring the
best qualities of humbucking and single-coil pickups. Full lows,
excellent top-end clarity, and, the most beautiful, airy midrange I’ve
ever heard in a pickup. I assumed the Foilbucker design was more
compatible with clean to lower gain tones. The truth is, you can hit
these pickups with mucho gain and they remain more articulate than,
frankly, any other pickup I’ve heard. You really can play any music
style with this one guitar. To boot, it has that “magic button” setting,
which activates a piezo pickup, mounted inside the cavity pf the
guitar. It’s a hauntingly beautiful sounding. You do have to roll the
guitar’s vol knob down a touch (which effects the Foilbuckers) to get
the most clarity out of the piezo and Foilbucker combo. Also, it has a button that taps the neck pickup.
The combination of bridge pickup and coil-tapped neck pickup is
addictive. It’s a perfect, chimey, but full, rhythm tone. The
construction of the guitar is impeccable. It has great alignment, a
quartersawn maple neck, and is lightweight (approx. 7.5lbs). I love the
open-style Hipshot tuning keys and the Mannmade trem. The guitar stays
in tune very well. The finish is stunning, bursting from black, to a
gold-mist. It’s finished in lacquer, with checking and light
distressing. It’s such a cool looking guitar! It is familiar looking and feeling, while having such an original
voice. For those reasons, I feel like this guitar would be a welcome
addition to any person’s guitar family. It’s especially great for someone used to the feel of a good Strat. I hate to let it go, but, for financial reasons, have to do so. Here are specs from the Ronin site:
