Jackson Custom Shop 7-String 3-Pickup Arched Top Soloist Double-Sided Graphic by Johnny Grez Flip-Flop Abalone Inlays Reverse Headstock 2008

This one of a kind 7-string Jackson Custom Shop soloist has many extremely rare features and is one of the coolest Jackson guitars that we have ever seen! Built in 2008 and comprised of an alder body with a carved maple arched top and maple neck-thru design, a bound ebony fingerboard and reverse headstock. The front and back of the body have an elaborate one of a kind airbrush paint job by legendary artist Johnny Grez which is simply titled “Evil” which we found while verifying the serial number in the Fender/Jackson dealer portal. The finish depicts evil looking aliens in a dark blue, black and white color scheme and an alien fetus on the back of the body. The airbrush seamlessly flows around the entire body covering the sides as well as over the rear control cavities and looks amazing! The back of the neck is unfinished for a smooth feel and the reverse headstock matches the finish of the body.

The 25.5” scale length neck has abalone sharkfin “flip-flop” inlays which change direction for every fret marker and a matching abalone “Jackson” headstock logo is inlaid on the reverse headstock. The neck features a slim “D” shape “speed neck” profile with a compound radius fingerboard and 24 extra jumbo frets.

Another very rare feature for Jackson is the factory 3-pickups which are equipped with a Seymour Duncan SH-1N in the neck position, a Seymour Duncan SH-2N in the middle position, and a Seymour Duncan SH-4 in the bridge position. Controlled by a master volume and master tone controls and a 3-way blade switch. The hardware is comprised of Jackson tuning machines, a Floyd Rose original double locking tremolo bridge with locking nut and knurled black dome knobs.

This guitar has some extremely rare features and is definitely a one of a kind collectors piece. I would rate this guitar as very good condition as it has a few finish flaws, some minor dings, and some corrosion on the black hardware/Floyd Rose (see photos). In particular there is a scratch/crack in the finish of the headstock on the “Jackson” abalone inlay logo, some scuffs around the edges of the pickup cavities, a ding on the top horn of the body, a finish crack near the neck/body cavity, some surface scratches on the back of the body, and some finish chips along the painted rear control cavities (see photos).

This guitar does not come with a COA and the case is a Gator hardshell case that is likely not original however this guitar has been verified by Jackson/Fender.
