There are three principles behind the Ibanez Prestige line: Precision, Performance, and Playability. Prestige combines high-tech manufacturing techniques with old-world Japanese craftsmanship, in order to achieve true innovation in design and construction. The series incorporates ideas and suggestions from musicians from around the world as the cornerstones of the Prestige production process.
The RGD series guitars have a body based on the RG series but with special bevels and deep scoop cuts in the horns. They also have extra long 26.5″ scale necks.
The RGDR4327 features a Richlite top on an African mahogany body bolted to a titanium reinforced maple and wenge neck with a 24-fret Maccasar ebony fingerboard with offset Luminlay dot position markers and Luminlay side dots. Components include a pair of DiMarzio Fusion Edge humbuckers, a Lo Pro Edge 7 double locking tremolo bridge and Gotoh tuning machines.
The guitar comes prepared for a full on metal-assault with the default tuning of A-D-G-C-F-A-D.
Macassar Ebony fretboard
Macassar Ebony produces tight lows and mid range along with strong attack in the highs and quick response with rich sustain.
Lo-Pro Edge tremolo bridge
The legendary Lo-Pro Edge bridge offers maximum playing comfort with its streamlined profile and recessed fine tuners. Locking studs contribute to tuning stability.
DiMarzio Fusion Edge Pickups
Through close collaboration between Ibanez and DiMarzio, Fusion Edge pickups have been engineered to produce a powerful, distinctive tone with a crisp, cutting high end, and a tight, compressed bottom end, minus any muddy mid-range.
Luminlay side dot inlays
The Luminlay side dot position marks make it easy for players to see fretboard position marks when performing on dark stages.
Gotoh machine heads
Gotoh machine heads provide super precision, smooth feel, and minimal backlash.
