Ibanez Pro Line (PR) 1440 1985 Red

$ 824.49

I am the original owner.  I played it periodically in the first few years that I got it, but frankly played acoustic more.  Since then, it’s been largely sitting in various basements.

Guitar is in superb condition – all original parts.  Minimal fret wear, straight neck.

The PR1440 is a solid body electric guitar model introduced by in 1985.

The PR1440 features a double cutaway alder body with rounded
contours and edges bolted to a maple neck with a 22-fret ebony
fingerboard with abalone dot position markers. Components include Ibanez
pickups with an IBZ mounted in a black plastic pickup ring at the
bridge and Super 7FT with “tub” style mounts at the neck and middle
positions, a Pro Rock’r bridge with a locking nut, knurled metal Tek
Grip knobs and Smooth Tuner II machine heads.

Rather than the usual 3-way toggle or 5-way lever pickup
selector, the PR1440 has an independent mini-toggle switch paired with
each of the three pickups. In addition it has a Duo Sound push-push
coil-split switch on the tone control.

The is a similar model with a maple fretboard and a slightly less contoured body shape.

The PR1440 was discontinued after 1985.
