The 1999 Les Paul Custom has arrived!
The mahogany back body is used for the maple top of the royal road, and the ebony fingerboard, which has become more rare in recent years, is used for the mahogany neck. The neck shape is slightly wide and has a refreshing impression.
The pickup is originally equipped with “490R & 498T”, but this product has been replaced with Suhr’s “Doug Aldrich”. The mid-high range with a tight low range is an attractive pickup, and it is also excellent in combination with a hard drive sound. It will be a sound that can be used not only in hard rock and metal, but also in various genres.
There are many scratches, dents, buckle scratches and pick scratches on the whole, and there are irregularities on the binding part due to thin paint and cracks along it. In addition, there is a fingerboard crack between the 6th and 5th strings on the 2nd floor, one place on the back of the neck, a lack of paint on the back of the head, and unevenness and cracks on the neck binding part. In addition, there is a strong feeling of use suitable for the age such as unevenness on the painted surface due to aging, plating floating of hardware and rust.
The neck condition is good, there is room on the left and right of the truss rod, and the remaining amount of frets is about 70%. In addition to the pickup replacement, the strap pin has been replaced. Both are original shortages.
I can’t deny the feeling of use that is appropriate for the age, but the fingerboard is also a solidly colored individual. It is a player’s condition that you can still play with a clear and outstanding sound.
