1992 Left Handed Gibson Les Paul Classic

$ 2900.00

What we have here is a rare left handed 1992 Les Paul Classic in very good condition. I have it loaded with awesome Cream T Bernie Buckers (approx $500 value) but I will ship it with the original pickups and tuners (I changed the tuners to Gotoh locking tuners). The guitar has some wear on the backside and a ding in the neck which is pictured. Some buckle worming but nothing unusual for the a guitar of this age. This is also before the classics started getting the green snot inlays. The guitar has plenty of mojo and has sounded great with any pickup that I’ve put in it.
About This Listing From Gibson’s early 90’s “good wood” yrs. This 1992 Gibson Les Paul Classic Cherry Sunburst is from the “Good Wood Years” period of 1990 – ’93. Three major reasons I love good wood era guitars are :1) Gibson formed the Gibson Custom custom shop m2m division in fall-winter of ‘93 and up till then the same guys who then formed the custom division made these. 2) Gibson was able to get the same Honduran/South American Mahogany as before, in the early golden era days. These of this era were still sourced from the real deal old growth Honduras mahogany. This is no longer the case and has not been since. 3) The vintage accuracy build specs, esp. for the money. The Classic was considered better than even the Standard at the time. Some dealers were even unethically selling the plus top versions of this guitar (this is not) as 1960 reissues. In fact, Gibson even etched “1960”on the pickguards of these Les Paul Classics.
Gibson’s Les Paul Classic model debuted in 1990 at a few hundred dollars more than the Standard. Vintage minded Les Paul players soon noticed that the Classic was ever so slightly closer to the original LP than even the ’59 Reissue which at the time listed at almost three times the price. The pre-1993 Classic’s vintage correct specifications include a smaller headstock, push in tuner bushings, ’60 neck profile, thin binding in the cutaway, aged fretboard inlays, inked serial number, nickel hardware, and vintage style headstock logo ending in “Model” like an original instead of “Classic.” This clean 1992 Gibson Les Paul Classic in rare left handed dexterity has survived in very good condition and is ready for the stage, studio, or collection. It does show light wear from being played but remains in perfect playing condition. The lock latch on the case has been removed. I’m confident you’ll love the tone and playability of this 1992 Gibson Les Paul Classic! Ships CONUS only. No trades.
