Fender Mustang MG69 MH Crafted in Japan somewhere between 2006-2008, in a cool and very uncommon Old Lake Placid Blue (OLB) finish with matching headstock and pearloid pickguard. These Mustangs were created to mimic the styles of the 1969-era Mustangs, but this one is different. Most Lake Placid Blue Mustangs would have a competition stripe on them; this one does not. I think it’s better for it!
Plays like a new guitar–clean 24″ scale medium C maple neck and 7.25″ radius rosewood fretboard, all 22 frets look to be lightly used, 90% left. Period-correct tuners. Electronics are strong and free from crackle. Aftermarket dynamic tremolo tailpiece and roller bridge are set up to stay in tune. Bridge pickup has been upgraded with SD hotrail.
No visible marks on the front of the body or headstock. There is an area on the bass horn that has been scraped (about .25″x.75″) the top gloss coat but has not broken the blue sparkle finish. Very minor play wear on the back of the body. Easily excellent condition except for that one spot I’ve described (see picture).
Probably won’t see another in this finish for awhile–she sure is a looker.
Vintage gig bag included with sale.
