Charvel Model 8 MIJ 1988
For sale – Metallic black Charvel Model 8, made in Japan in 1988.
Equipped with a triple S configuration, licensed Floyd Rose, and a modified jaguar-like pickguard, the Model 8 was unlike any other product offered by the company at the time. A nod to Jeff Beck’s custom orange Soloist
guitar from his mid-80s release: Flash, the Model 8 featured a bolt-on construction paired with a colour-matching reversed headstock.
This particular example is a transition model from the Model Series (1986-88) to the Contemporary Series (1989-1991) when it was rebranded as the Spectrum.
Features:
- Unique, clean aesthetic
- Versatile active pickups and switching system
- Very clean fretboard
- Jackson JT6 trem in remarkable condition
- Fast, glossy neck

The all-original hardware is untarnished with very little visible wear. One small chip to the body (pictured) is the only visible clue that this example never came from a time-capsule. All backplates are present
