Guild GF60-R NT – Made in U.S.A. – 1987
Absolutely beautiful piece up for sale here.
All-original Guild GF60-R NT, designed by George Gruhn and Kim Walker specifically for the US domestic market. Rarely seen outside of their country of origin, this model was made only for a few short years, with less than 300 examples in the entire production run. This is that acoustic that you buy and you never need another acoustic again. It’s amazing.
Weight: 2.5 kgs.
Fully bound body, neck and headstock. Solid spruce top. Original tortoise shell pickguard. Indian Rosewood back and sides. Mahogany ‘C shape’ neck with an Ebony fretboard. Zero fretware. Seems like this acoustic has scarcely been played. The headstock has Guild’s classic Chesterfield logo with Vintage Grover gold machine heads.
The tone this guitar produces is just awesome. Plenty of volume and power. Really great dynamic range.
Cosmetically, its in fantastic condition for a late 80s piece. A few light dings and scratches on the guitar as a whole but all quite minimal and just seem to fit in with its great character.
This is a very rare USA-made model, designed by two prominent figures in the acoustic guitar world. 10/10.
Comes with a hard case.
