Guild GAD-50 Amber Sunburst With Original Guild Tweed Case – 2005

$ 645.00

This guitar is in very good condition. In addition to some some signs of use (small, light scratches, etc.), there are a couple of things I want to call to the prospective buyer’s attention. When I purchased this guitar, the prior owner had used a felt pen to outline the clear pickguard.  I was able to remove that almost completely, but if you notice anything, that’s why.

Also, they had put a screw through the bridge and soundboard. I had that removed and filled by The Repair Zone in San Diego, CA. There are also some scratches at the lower right side of the bridge, but I’m really not sure what was going on there.  There also may be the slightest bit of warping on the neck but it is so minor that I never noticed it until today when I decided to list it.  Still, I’d rather err on the safe side and avoid unhappy surprises so decided to put that into the description just in case. But it is very minor, in my opinion. Finally, the case is in pretty good condition but not perfect by any means. It shows wear and the color is a little dull. One of the hasps has broken off. But it works fine and protects the guitar well enough.

All that being said, I just had it set up with new D’Addario Coated EXP Custom Light (0.11-0.52) strings. It is a lovely guitar both visually and audibly.  Rich and loud, but with a broad range of resonance.  Feel free to ask me any questions or request more images.  I have a high seller’s rating and intend to keep it that way so will always be as transparent as possible about any issues of which I am aware. (Dog pictured in cover photo is NOT included.)
